Soil Association (SA), Bristol, UK

The Soil Association is a registered charity. It educates and increases awareness of the links between the health of soils, plants, crops and animals, and the subsequent health of people and the planet. It also carries out a wide range of activities to inspire, inform, and enable sustainable organic farming and food production, and to increase public access to food produced in this way.

The charity owns an organic certification company that is a major certifier in the UK and beyond, although the charitable activities are not restricted to licensees of that company. The Soil Association has competencies in the areas of policy and research, technical and practical support to farming and food businesses, and provision of market information to businesses and policy makers.

It has a long standing experience in collecting, collating, and providing organic market information, and of working with other organisations to expand the information we can offer. Its close links with organic businesses enables the Soil Association to identify market data needs, interpret market data, and provide commentary and projections in a way that is of value to them. It has have extensive experience of producing market reports, providing market information via its website, and through the magazine "Organic Farming".
